Mediating role of dissociative trait in childhood abuse and medical students' emotional symptoms
Abstract:Objective To construct the relationship model of childhood abuse ,dissociative trait and emotional symptoms of medical students .Methods Through stratified sampling , 262 medical students were investigated by the Personal Report of Childhood Abuse(PRCA) ,Beck Depression Inven-tory (BDI) ,Self - rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) ,Suicide Ideation Scale (SIS) and Dissociative Trait Scale (DTS) .A path analysis was applied by Amos version 7 .0 .Results The path analysis showed that child-hood abuse directly and positively influenced on the dissociative trait (B = 0 .303 ,P < 0 .01) and emotional symptoms (B = 0 .282 ,P < 0 .01)of medical students ;Dissociative trait directly and positively influenced on the emotional symptoms (B = 0 .545 , P < 0 .01) .The model fit indexes were χ2 /d f =1.550 < 3 .000 ,PGFI = 0 .613 ,PCFI = 0 .725 ,PN FI = 0 .697 ,all > 0 .05 ;RM SEA = 0 .046 < 0 .050 , GFI = 0 .937 ,A GFI = 0 .904 ,all > 0 .90 ;N FI = 0 .940 ,RFI = 0 .920 ,IFI = 0 .978 ,TL I = 0 .970 , CFI = 0 .978 ,all > 0 .90 .Model fit well .Conclusions As the mediated variable ,the dissociative trait mediates the relationship between childhood abuse and emotional symptoms of medical students .
