Theory of Mind in individuals with clinical high risk of psychosis
Abstract:Objective To investigate the characteristics of Theory of Mind in individuals with high risk of psychosis .Methods A total of 70 participants with high risk of psychosis and 70 controls were involved .Global Assessment Function (GAF)、Faux Pas Text (FPT ) and Reading the Mind in the Eyes Text (RMET) were assessed to examine the Theory of Mind .Results There were significant differences in GAF total score(t= -32 .79 ,P< 0 .01) and GAF subtraction(t= 27 .99 ,P< 0 .01) between two groups .The scores of faux pas story ,faux pas story to understand and control story recognition in high risk group were significantly lower than that of control group (P<0 .01) .The high risk group showed si‐ginificantly longer reaction time and lower response accuracy than control group in RMET (P<0 .01) . Conclusions The Theory of Mind is impaired in individuals with high risk of psychosis .
