Evaluate of the anxiety behavior in high -fat diet induced obese mice

Abstract:Objective To explore the anxiety like behavior induced by high -fat diet in obese mice .Methods Twelve C57BL/6J female mice were randomly divided into two groups and treated with high-fat diet or chow diet respectively for eight weeks .Weight changes were recorded and elevated plus maze ,black and white boxes ,and new objects stimulate assay were used to evaluate animal behavior . Results Compared with the chow diet group ,high-fat diet group showed significant anxiety like behavior in the elevated plus maze ,black and white boxes and the new object stimulation assay .Conclusions High -fat diet can be used to induce obesity with anxiety mice model which is important for further study of the re‐lationship between obesity and anxiety .
