Efficacy and safety of risperidone combined with Daying tablet in the treatment of schizophrenia

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of risperidone combined with Daying tab‐let in treatment of schizophrenia .Methods A total of 120 patients meeting the criteria of ICD -10 for schizophrenia were randomly divided into the Daying tablet group (n = 58) and the placebo group (n =62) with randomized ,double-blind ,and placebo -controlled methods .Patients with schizophrenia were given Daying tablet and placebo respectively ,they were treated for 12 weeks .The serum concentrations of risperidone ,Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS)were evaluated at baseline and the end of 4 ,8 ,12 weeks separately .Results By the end of 12 weeks ,there was significant difference in PANSS between two groups (P< 0 .05);the common adverse reactions in the two groups were comparable ,however ,the side effects including constipation ,xerosto‐mia and weight gain in Daying tablet group were significantly lower than that in placebo group (P <0.05) .After treatment ,there was no difference in the level of plasma concentrations of risperidone be‐tween two groups .Conclusions Daying tablet is good and safe in the treatment of schizophrenia .Daying tablet combined risperidone can improve the symptoms of patients with schizophrenia ,the safety is high , and is worthy of clinical application .
