The current situation of Daqing City college students'emotional problems and its relationship with self-es- teem levels
Abstract:Objective To investigate the current situation of Daqing City college students'emo‐tional problems and its relationship with self -esteem level ,provide the basis for subsequent intervention treatment and screening effective intervention technologies and solutions .Methods In 6 colleges and uni‐versities of Daqing City ,according to the overall percentage of occupied college students ,the school class as a unit to take random cluster sampling 1590 college students as subjects .The first stage evaluation concluded Self -Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) ,Self -Rating Depression Scale(SDS) ,Suicidal Ideation Checklist(SIOSS) ,Self -Esteem Scale(SES) ,the second phase ,we used the United States diagnosed with mental illness statistical Manual Fourth Edition(DSM -IV) criteria for diagnosising .Results Psy‐chological evaluationresults showed that 14 .9% of college students have anxiety ,21 .3% of college students have depression ,4 .8% of college students have suicide ideation ,χ2 test results showed that the rate of three kinds of emotional state ,the boys were higher than girls (P< 0 .05) .SCID diagnostic inter‐views showed that the prevalence of anxiety disorders in college students was 13 .8% ;depressive disor‐der prevalence was 3 .8% ;Correlation analysis showed that anxiety ,depression ,suicidal ideation ,these three variables showed a significant positive correlation (P< 0 .001) ,anxiety ,depression ,suicidal idea‐tion and self -esteem was a significant negative correlation (P < 0 .001) .Conclusions Daqing City col‐lege students have a high incidence of emotional problems and mood disorders ,effective assessment ,ear‐ly -warming and intervention model should be established .
