Effect of Self Disclosure Intervention Combined with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy on Postoperative Psychological Stress and Hope Levels in Patients with Esophageal Cancer

Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of self disclosure intervention combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy on postoperative psychological stress and hope levels in patients with esophageal cancer.Methods 82 patients with esophageal cancer who were admitted to our hospital from September 2022 to September 2024 were selected and grouped randomly,with 41 patients in each.The control group received routine nursing care,while the observation group received self-disclosure intervention combined with cognitive behavioral therapy intervention on the basis of the control group.Both groups were followed up for 8 weeks after surgery,and the psychological stress response,hope levels,and quality of life level were compared before and after intervention.Results After intervention,the psychological stress score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The positive attitude,positive action score,and overall score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the intimate relationship scores between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Self disclosure intervention combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy can alleviate postoperative psychological stress reactions in esophageal cancer patients,improve their positive attitudes and behaviors,and enhance their quality of life.
