Abstract:Objective To understand the current status of the cognitive needs of upper gastrointestinal early cancer high-risk groups, analyze its influencing factors,so as to provide reference for intervention measures in high-risk groups, and improve the screening rate of early cancer. Methods From October to December 2023,convenience sampling was used to select a high-risk population of early upper gastrointestinal cancer who met the criteria in the community around a Class A tertiary hospital in Luoyang as the research object. The survey was conducted through the Questionnaire of Cancer Cognition and Demand of residents to understand the current situation of cancer cognitive demand of high-risk population of early upper gastrointestinal cancer, and the influencing factors were explored through single factor analysis and multiple stepwise regression. Results A total of 188 patients with high risk of early upper gastrointestinal cancer were included in the study. In terms of tumor-related knowledge, the average mastery degree of early detection knowledge was 81.38%,the average mastery degree of cancer prevention knowledge was 67.91%,and the average mastery degree of cancer behavior risk factors knowledge was 56.28%.95.75%of the residents thought that the prevention and treatment of cancer was related to the common people.89.89%of the residents knew that the early detection of cancer could reduce the mortality rate.89.36%of the residents thought that it was necessary to have regular physical examination and disseminate the knowledge of cancer prevention.84.57%of the residents hoped to get the help of the early detection of cancer. In terms of the demand for early detection of tumors,40.96%of the residents had never obtained the knowledge of early detection through any way, while the residents who knew the knowledge mainly obtained the information through the Internet(28.72%)and listening to others(25.00%).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that family income per capita was the influencing factor of cancer-related knowledge(P<0.05).Conclusion The high-risk population of upper gastrointestinal early cancer has a medium to low level of cancer prevention and behavior related knowledge, and they have a positive attitude towards early detection of cancer, and have a high demand for knowledge of early detection.People with lower income have a poor grasp of cancer-related knowledge;therefore,it is necessary to strengthen health education for this group of people, enhance their attention to early detection of tumors, and improve their mastery of tumor related knowledge.
