Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of different doses of remimazolam combined with propofol to maintain general anaesthesia on the recovery time and incidence of adverse reactions in patients undergoing radical resection for esophageal cancer. Methods One hundred and twenty ASA Ⅰ~Ⅱ patients who underwent elective radical resection of esophageal cancer in Xuchang People's Hospital from November 2022 to December 2024 were selected and divided randomly into group A,group B and group C,with 40 patients in each group. The induction regimens were the same in the three groups.During anesthesia maintenance, group A was given 0.1 mg·kg-1 remimazolam, group B was given 0.2 mg·kg-1 remimazolam, and group C was given 0.3 mg·kg-1 remimazolam. The recovery time, extubation time, propofol dosage, and remifentanil dosage were observed in all three groups.Pain scores were recorded at 2 hours and 6 hours post operatively.Heart rate and mean arterial pressure were monitored before induction(T0),during intubation(T1),at skin incision(T2),at skin suture(T3),and 30 minutes after extubation(T4).The Riker Sedation-Agitation Scale(SAS)scores were evaluated at 2,6,12,and 24 hours postoperatively, and the incidence of adverse reactions was recorded at 48 hours postoperatively. Results The dosage of propofol in Group B and Group C was less than that in Group A,and the recovery time was longer than that in Group A(P<0.05).The dosage of propofol in Group C was less than that in Group B,but the recovery time was longer than that in Group B(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the dosage of remimazolam and pain scores at 2 hours and 6 hours postoperatively among the three groups(P>0.05).There were also no significant differences in heart rate and mean arterial pressure from T0 to T4 among the three groups(P>0.05).The SAS scores at 2 hours and 6 hours postoperatively in Group B,and at 2 hours,6 hours,12 hours, and 24 hours postoperatively in Group C were lower than those in Group A(P<0.05),and the SAS scores at 12 hours and 24 hours postoperatively in Group C were lower than those in Group B(P<0.05).The incidence of respiratory depression in Group C was higher than that in Group A and Group B(P<0.05).Conclusions The use of 0.2 mg·kg-1 remimazolam combined with propofol to maintain general anaesthesia during radical resection of esophageal cancer results in more stable hemodynamics, shorter recovery time, and a lower incidence of adverse reactions.
