Abstract:Objective To observe preliminarily the role of esophageal epithelial metaplasia(EEM)and immunohistochemistry in the diagnosis of esophageal squamous cell neoplasm(ESN).Methods 168 esophageal squamous cell neoplasm specimens archived in the pathology database of Anyang Tumor Hospital Pathology Department from March 2023 to February 2024 were selected. The expression of EEM and proteins were observed and analyzed through histological observation and immunohistochemical detection. Results The incidence of EEM in ESN was 17.26%,with blue stained cytoplasmic granules visible on the surface of the esophagus in 82.46%of patients,87.12%of patients who underwent immunohistochemical staining showed P53 protein mutation patterns, and 78.03%of patients showed abnormal Ki-67 expression patterns. Conclusion Joint observation of EEM and immunohistochemical expression can help improve the diagnosis of early ESN with morphological dysplasia.
