Abstract:Objective To explore the preventive effect of intervention based on the occurrence risk model on perioperative malnutrition in esophageal cancer patients. Methods A single center prospective study was conducted on esophageal cancer surgical patients admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2022.120 patients were divided into a conventional group and an intervention group randomly, with 60 cases in each. The routine group received routine perioperative care, while the intervention group received interven-tion based on the occurrence risk model on the basis of routine perioperative care. After intervention, the in-cidence of malnutrition, postoperative complications, gastrointestinal function, and nursing satisfaction be-tween 2 groups were compared. Results After intervention, compared with the conventional group, the in-cidence of perioperative malnutrition and complications in the intervention group was significantly reduced(x2=8.547,P=0.000;X2=10.385,P=0.001,respectively);the recovery time of postoperative bowel sounds(t=3.867,P=0.000),first exhaust time(t=8.151,P=0.000),eating time(t=8.712,P=0.000),gastric tube retention time(t=14.233,P=0.000),and hospitalization time(t=10.554,P=0.000)of the intervention group patient were significantly shortened, and their nursing satisfaction was also significantly improved(x2=11.925,P=0.001).Conclusion Intervention based on the occurrence risk model can effectively prevent perioperative malnutrition and postoperative complications in esophageal cancer patients, improve their gastrointestinal function, and enhance hospital satisfaction.
