Abstract:Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection is a significant causative factor in chronic gastritis, peptic ul-cers,and gastric cancer. With the widespread use of antibiotics in clinical practice, the resistance rates of H.pylori to clarithromycin, metronidazole, and levofloxacin have been progressively increasing.Antibiotic resistance in H.pylori has become a major challenge in clinical eradication therapy. The mechanisms of H.pylori resistance are complex and involve alterations in antibiotic target sites, efflux pump systems,drug-degrading enzyme systems, and biofilm formation, among others.A deeper understanding of the resistance mechanisms of H.pylori may provide new insights for the development of novel approaches to eradication therapy.
