Abstract:Non-diabetic chronic kidney disease(CKD)shares similar risks of end-stage renal disease(ESRD)and a higher incidence of cardiovascular complications with diabetic kidney disease, yet current standard clinical regimens show suboptimal therapeutic effects.Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists(GLP-1 RAs)exert renoprotective effects in non-diabetic CKD through both direct and indirect mechanisms, involving metabolic regulation,anti-inflammatory responses, and anti-fibrotic processes.Clinical studies indicate that GLP-1 RAs reduce proteinuria levels and maintain renal function stability in patients with non-diabetic CKD,and the therapeutic effects are particularly significant in patients with obesity-or hypertension-related non-diabetic CKD.Future research should further explore the combination strategies of GLP-1 RAs with existing sodium-glucose cotransporter-2(SGLT2)inhibitors,and investigate biomarker-based personalized applica-tion schemes to improve the prognosis of patients with non-diabetic CKD.
