Clinical efficacy of balanced plum blossom jar method in the adjuvant treatment of children with pneumonia and asthma

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect of balanced plum blossom jar method in the adjuvant treatment of children with pneumonia and asthma.Methods Sixty-six hospitalized children with pneumonia and asthma were ran-domly selected,and then were divided into the observation group and control group according to the random number method,with 33 cases in each.Children in the control group were treated with an airbag vest sputum excretion device on the basis of conventional symptomatic treatment,and children in the observation group were supplemented with the balanced plum blossom jar method on the basis of conventional treatment.The improvement of clinical symptoms,treatment effi-ciency,inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)],pul-monary function indicators,blood gas indexes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 90.9%,which was higher than that(63.63%)in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with those before treatment,serum CRP,TNF-α,and IL-6 levels decreased,pulmonary func-tion indexes increased,and blood gas indexes PaO2 increased and PaCO2 decreased in both groups after treatment(all P<0.05).The serum CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(all P<0.05).The pulmonary function indexes and blood gas indexes in the observation group improved more signifi-cantly than those in the control group(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reac-tions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The balanced plum blossom jar method can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms,reduce the level of serum inflammatory factors,improve lung function,and have high safety.
