Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy of nutritional support combined with oral administration of microecolog-ical agents in the treatment of alcoholic liver disease(ALD)under the Hospital to Home(H2H)model.Methods Ninety patients with ALD were divided into the groups A,B,and C according to different treatment protocols, with 30 patients in each group. Each group were managed by H2H management team.Among them, patients in the group A were given alco-hol cessation, conventional hepatoprotective drugs and nutrition guidance.Patients in the group B were given a specific nu-tritional program by a clinical dietitian on the basis of treatment of the group A.Patients in the group C were given micro-ecological agents compound Lactobacillus acidophilus tablets(1 g/time,3 times/day)orally on the basis of the treatment of the group B.After 12 weeks of treatment, liver function indicators[aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine amino-transferase(ALT),total bilirubin(TBIL),albumin(ALB),and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT)],inflammation-relat-ed indicators[white blood cells(WBC),C-reactive protein(CRP),and interleukin 6(IL-6)],nutrition-related indica-tors[body mass index(BMI),upper arm muscle circumference(AMC),triceps skinfold thickness(TSF),and handgrip strength],and trace elements(serum iron, calcium, and zinc)were tested. Results Compared with those before treat-ment,liver function indicators, inflammation indicators,nutrition-related indicators, and trace elements were improved af-ter treatment in the three groups(all P<0.05).The levels of AST,ALT,TBIL,and GGT decreased in order, and the levels of ALB and the levels of serum calcium, iron, and zinc increased successively in the groups A,B,and C(all P<0.05).The levels of WBC,CRP,and IL-6 were lower in the group C than in the groups A and B(all P<0.01).The levels of BMI,AMC,TSF,and handgrip strength were higher in the groups B and C than in the group A(all P<0.05).Conclusion Nutritional support combined with oral administration of microecological agents in H2H mode for ALD can significantly improve patients'liver function, correct malnutrition, reduce inflammatory response, and promote absorption of trace elements, with better clinical efficacy.
