Abstract:Objective To analyze the changing trends of morbidity, mortality, and disease burden of non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL)in Chinese population from 1990 to 2019 in order to provide a reference for NHL prevention and con-trol.Methods Data on the number of cases, incidence rate, the number of deaths, mortality rate, and disability-adjust-ed life years(DALYs)for NHL in the Chinese population from 1990 to 2019 were extracted from the 2019 Global Burden of Disease Study database.Joinpoint regression analysis was conducted using the Joinpoint Regression Program 4.9.0.0 to calculate the age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR),age-standardized mortality rate(ASMR),and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)for NHL in China from 1990 to 2019 and to analyze the changing trends of morbidity, mortality, and disease burden of NHL.Age-Period-Cohort(APC)modeling was used to analyze the onset risk, mortality risk, and dis-ease burden in Chinese population of different age groups and time periods. Results From 1990 to 2019,the overall crude incidence rate, overall crude mortality rate, and overall crude DALYs rate of NHL among the Chinese population showed an increasing trend(AAPC=4.7,2.8,and 1.8,respectively;all P<0.05).During the same period, the ASIR,ASMR,and age-standardized DALYs of the NHL also demonstrated an upward trend(AAPC=3.1,0.8,and 0.5,re-spectively;all P<0.05).With increasing age,the disease burden of NHL in the Chinese population rose;as age and peri-od increased, the incidence and mortality risks of NHL in both Chinese men and women increased. However, those born in later years exhibited lower incidence and mortality risks for NHL.The disease burden of NHL among males and females first rose and then declined.Over time, the incidence risk of NHL in Chinese males, females, and the overall population showed an upward trend. Conclusions From 1990 to 2019,the incidence and mortality rates of NHL in the Chinese population exhibit an upward trend, with an increasing disease burden.Males and the elderly population are more suscepti-ble to NHL,with a higher disease burden.
