Risk factors for early progressive cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective To investigate the risk factors for the early progressive cerebral infarction ( EPCI) .Methods The general clinical factors and cerebral infarction related factors were compared between 48 cases of EPCI patients ( EPCI group) and 86 cases of non-progressive cerebral infarction patients ( ACI group) by using retrospective analysis.Subse-quently, the statistically significant indicators from above univariate analysis were analyzed using binary logistic regression analysis.Results Fibrinogen, hypertension, diabetes and cerebral microbleeds were significantly different between these two groups (all P<0.05).Cerebral microbleeds and diabetes were closely related to the progressive cerebral infarction (all P<0.05).Conclusion Cerebral microbleeds and diabetes were the independent risk factors for EPCI.
