Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of serum apolipoprotein B (ApoB)/apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) ratio in judging the condition of acute ischemic stroke .Methods A total of 191 cases of patients with acute ischemic stroke were studied, whose NIHSS score ≤6 was the low group (71 cases), NIHSS score ≤14 and ≥7 was the medium group (58 cases) and NIHSS score ≥15 was the high group (62 cases). After admission, the venous blood of patients in all groups was collected with empty stomach .The levels of TG, TC, ApoB and ApoA1 were measured and ApoB/ApoA1 was calculated in every group .The correlations between TG , TC, ApoB/ApoA1 and NIHSS score were analyzed .Results Comparison of ApoB/ApoA1 in three groups:high group >medium group >low group (all P<0.05).TG:high group<low group (P<0.05).ApoB/ApoA1 was positively correlated with NIHSS score (r=0.242,P<0.05).TG was nega-tively correlated with NIHSS score (r=-0.220,P<0.05).TC was not related to NIHSS score (r=0.136,P>0.05). Conclusion ApoB/ApoA1 is a better indicator to determine the severity of ischemic stroke .
