Abstract:Objective To investigate effect of HBx transfection on HepG 2 cell proliferation .Methods The HBV X gene eukaryon expression vector pcDNA 3-X was transiently transfected into HepG 2 cell by lipid-media transfection .Untras-fected HepG2 and HepG2 transfected with pcDNA3 were used as control .Growth status of liver cancer cells was observed by microscopic , proliferation of liver cancer cells in different group was detected by cell-flow and fluorescence microscopy , respectively. Results The growth of liver cancer cells in transfected X gene group was better than that of the other two groups. The HepG2 cells in the transfected HBx group were in the stage of proliferation ( G2 was 5.68%).The rate of pro-liferation of transfected HepG 2 cells was 47%, the rate of proliferation of HepG 2 transfected with pcDNA 3 or untrasfected HepG2 cells was 28%, 25%, respectively. The rate of proliferation of transfected HepG2 cells was higher than that in oth-er two groups(all P<0.05).Conclusions HBx gene transfection can result in proliferation of hepatoma carcinoma cells .
