Correlation between biexponential model diffusion weighted imaging parameters and nasopharyngeal carcinoma TNM stage

Abstract：Objective To explore the correlations between biexponential model ( IVIM) diffusion weighted imaging parameters and nasopharyngeal carcinoma ( NPC) TNM stage.Methods Forty-nine newly diagnosed NPC patients re-ceived MRI examination.The correlations between IVIM parameters (including ADCstandard, ADCslow, ADCfast, Ffast) and TNM stage were analyzed.Results Stage T showed negative correlation with ADC slow(r=-0.356, P<0.05)and positive correlation with ADCfast(r=0.388, P<0.05).Stage N, M were all positive correlated with ADCstandard(r=0.313 and 0.349, respectively, P<0.05).Conclusion The biexponential model diffusion weighted imaging parameters maybe helpful in clinical staging and management of NPC .
