Expression and significance of ANXA1 mRNA in chronic gastritis and gastric cancer

Abstract：Objective To observe the expression and significance of ANXA1 mRNA in tissues of chronic gastritis and gastric cancer.Methods The expression of ANXA1 mRNA in 40 samples of gastric cancer and 20 cases of chronic gastri-tis were measured by q-PCR.The relationship between ANXA1 mRNA and clinicopathologica parameters of gastric cancer was analyzed.Results The rate of ANXA1 mRNA high expression in gastric cancer tissues was 90%(36/40), and 75%(15/20) in chronic gastritis, P>0.05.The expression of ANXA1 mRNA in gastric cancer tissues was not significantly correlated with clinicopathologica parameters (all P>0.05).Conclusion ANXA1 mRNA showed overexpression in chro-nic gastritis and gastric cancer, which suggested some association between inflammation and carcinogenesis.
