Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between the human mismatch repair gene (hMLH1, hMSH2) pro-tein expression and endometriosis( EMS) .Methods A total of 28 EMS tissues were involved as case group, including 14 cases ofⅢstage and 14 cases ofⅣstage. The control group tissues were cut from normal uterus tissues of 26 laparoscopic patients after myomectomy. The expression of hMLH1 and hMSH2 protein in the two groups were measured by immunohis-tochemical SP technique. The positive rate of hMLH1 and hMSH2 protein in two groups was compared. The positive rate of hMLH1 and hMSH2 protein inⅢ,Ⅳphase of endometriosis in case group was compared. Results The positive rate of hMLH1 protein in case group and control group was 71.4%(20/28), 30.8%(8/26), respectively. The expression of hM-LH1 protein in case group was higher than that in control group (P<0.01).The positive rate of hMLH2 protein in control group and control group was 53.6%(15/28), 57.7%(15/26), respectively. The expression of hMLH2 protein in two groups was no significant difference. The expression of hMLH1 and hMLH2 in Ⅲ, Ⅳ phase patients was no significant difference. Conclusions The expression of hMLH1 protein increased in EMS tissues, which indicates that hMLH1 protein may be related with the development of EMS.
