Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression and its clinical significance of serum interleukin -17 ( IL-17 ) and interleukin-35(IL-35) in patients with viral moycarditis (VMC).Methods Seventy patients with VMC(VMC group, 41 in acute stage and 29 in remission stage ) and 30 healthy subjects ( control group ) were enrolled , Enzyme-linked immu-nosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to detect the blood serum level of IL-17 and IL-35, and chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassa was used to detect the blood serum level of cardiac troponin I (cTnI).The relationship among the indexes were analyzed. Results The serum level of IL-17 and cTnI in VMC group were both higher than those in the control group ,and the IL-35 was in the contrary, especially for the patients in acute stage ( all P<0.05).The serum level of IL-17 and IL-35 showed positive and negative corelation to the cTnI , r=0.681,-0.583( both P<0.05);IL-17 was negatively correlated to IL-35,r=-0.482,P<0.01.Conclusion The blood serum level of IL-17 and IL-35 in VMC patients is abnormal and correlated to the codition , these two indexes may be involved in the pathogenesis and development of VMC .
