Abstract:Objective To detect the value of Dickkopf-1(DKK-1)in the diagnosis of patients with pancreatic cancer . Methods The serum levels of DKK-1 in 50 patients with pancreatic cancer ( pancreatic group ) and 50 healthy volunteers ( control group ) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay .The serum levels of CA 19-9 were measured by elec-trochemiluminescence immunoassay .The serum levels of DKK-1, and the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of DKK-1 and CA 19-9 of the two groups were compared .Results The serum level of DKK-1 and positive rate of DKK-1 in the pancreatic group were significantly higher than those of the control group ( P<0.05) .In the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer , the sensitiv-ity of DKK-1 and CA19-9 were 52%and 78%, respectively (P<0.05);the specificity were 92%and 84%(P>0.05);and the accuracy were 72%and 81%(P>0.05).The sensitivity and accuracy of combined detections of DKK-1 and CA19-9 were up to 90%and 84%, respectively .Conclusions The serum level of DKK-1 is increased significantly in patients with pancreatic cancer , which can be used as a clinical marker for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer .Combined detections of DKK-1 and CA19-9 are helpful for improving the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer .
