Relationship between the level of lipoprotein(a)and Alzheimer’s disease
Abstract:To study the relationship between concentration of lipoprotein(a)[LP(a)]and ALzheimer’s disease(AD).The concentration of Lp(a),apoA1,apoB and blood-lipids were anlysed in 58 cases of Alzheimer’s disease and 110 cases of normal group. Results showed that the Lp(a) level and its abnormal rate of patient group were significantly higher than those of the normal group (392.38/156.32,P<0.01;46.72%/20.04%,P<0.01).Multivariate regression analysis revealed that the Lp(a) was a significant variable associated with AD compared with either TG or LDL-C.It suggest that the high level Lp(a) may play an important role in onset of AD and thus Lp(a) is a better predicting index for AD risk.
