Clinical value of TCD measuring in patients with dizziness or vertigo
Abstract：2159 patients with dizziness or vertigo（HT 269 cases，DM 58 cases）were measured by TCD.The results showed that there were 14.27％ patients with vessel stenosis and 8.66％ patients with decreased flow velocity.The incidence of vertebrobasilar artery stenosis in vertigo group was high and there was significant difference between the two groups.Stenosis of carotid system and slow flow velocity of posterior circulation were more common in aged subjects.HT and DM were correlated significantly with intracranianl vascular stenosis.The results suggest that patients with simple vertigo or dizziness can not be diagnosed as with functional disease or vertibro-basilar artery defficiency.
