Abstract:In order to explore the effects of type and amount of root-promoting agents on the mineral ele-ments of flue-cured tobacco, the flue-cured tobacco variety'Qinyan 99'was used as test material, and with water as control(CK),three types of root-promoting agent(A1:compound sodium nitrophenolate;A2:chi-tosan oligosaccharide;A3:polyglutamic acid)with different amounts(B1:247.5 g/hm2;B2:495.0 g/hm2;B3:742.5 g/hm2)were applied to the water hole when the tobacco seedlings were transplanted. The effects of different treatments on mineral element contents and dry matter accumulation of flue-cured tobacco were stud-ied during the growth period. The results were as follows.(1)During the growth period, the contents of potas-sium,magnesium,zinc and manganese in flue-cured tobacco leaves increased first and then decreased;phos-phorus decreased first, then increased and then decreased;sulfur decreased first and then increased;calcium increased first and then stabilized, and boron continued to rise. The application of different root-promoting a-gents during transplanting could effectively increase the contents of magnesium, zinc and manganese in the growth period of tobacco plants. After 15 days of transplanting, the contents of phosphorus,potassium,magne-sium and calcium in A1B2 treatment increased by 21.11%,13.03%,14.29%and 49.08%respectively com-pared with CK.After 60,75 and 90 days of transplanting, the contents of calcium and boron in A3B2 treat-ment increased by 21.40%and 27.85%,15.19%and 13.02%,28.54%and 11.23%,respectively,compared with CK.(2)The dry weight of flue-cured tobacco leaves, stems and roots at 60 to 90 days after transplanting were higher in A3B2 treatment, which were 139.69%,200.88%and 153.81%higher than those of CK at 60 days after transplanting, and 29.78%,21.19%and 95.61 higher than those of CK at 90 days after transplan-ting,respectively.In summary, the application of root-promoting agents during transplanting could improve the ability of tobacco plants to absorb mineral elements and dry matter accumulation.A1B2 treatment performed better in the early period, and A3B2 treatment performed better in the middle and late period. When applying root-promoting agents, the type and dosage should be clearly defined based on local climatic conditions and fertilization situations to achieve better application results.
