Abstract:To comprehensively evaluate the soil quality of strawberry fields in different areas of Chang-ping District,Beijing, and their relationships with soil bacterial communities, this study measured 11 soil physicochemical indexes and established a minimum data set(MDS)of soil quality using principal component analysis(PCA)and Pearson correlation analysis.Soil quality index(SQI)was calculated using both linear and nonlinear scoring methods.High-throughput sequencing technology was used to analyze the diversity and composition of soil bacterial communities, and general linear models and Mantel tests were applied to assess the influence of bacterial communities on soil quality. The results showed that the MDS demonstrated good ef-fectiveness in soil quality assessment, and the SQI values derived from MDS were highly correlated with those from the total data set(TDS)(R2=0.83 to 0.88),indicating that MDS could effectively replace TDS for quantitative evaluation of strawberry soil quality to achieve higher cost-effectiveness.A significant positive cor-relation was observed between the SQI based on MDS and the Shannon diversity index of bacterial communi-ties,suggesting that higher soil quality was often accompanied by greater microbial diversity.Soil pH value, total phosphorus, available potassium, and available phosphorus were identified as the main physicochemical factors influencing bacterial community composition and diversity, which should be prioritized in soil manage-ment of strawberry fields to optimize soil health and improve strawberry yield.
