Abstract:To investigate the effects of combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers on yield and quality of fresh-eating sweet potato, this experiment was conducted by using Yanshu 25 as material and setting five fertilization treatments,i.e.,no fertilizer, chemical fertilizer alone,25%organic fertilizer+75%chemical fertilizer,50%organic fertilizer+50%chemical fertilizer, and organic fertilizer alone, which were referred to as T1,T2,T3,T4 and T5,respectively.The effects of different fertilization treatments on the con-tents of soluble sugar, vitamin C,amino acids, polyphenols and flavonoids of Yanshu 25 root tubers were stud-ied,as well as the fresh potato yield. The results showed that the fresh potato yield of each treatment in each of the two years showed T4>T3>T2≥T5>T1,among which, that of T4 treatment was significantly higher com-pared with the other treatments, that of T2 and T5 treatments was not significantly different and significantly lower compared with the other treatments, and the average fresh potato yield of the two years of T4 and T3 treatments increased by 55.15%and 37.14%compared with T1 treatment, respectively. In terms of root tuber quality,on average over the two years, the soluble sugar content was the highest in T4 treatment, which was significantly higher than that in other treatments except T5;the polyphenol and essential amino acid contents were the highest in T3 treatment, followed by T4 treatment;the flavonoids content in T3 and T4 treatments was not significantly different, and was significantly higher than that in the other treatments;vitamin C content was significantly different between the treatments, which showed T5>T4>T3>T1>T2.It could be seen that combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers could significantly improve the fresh potato yield and quality of Yanshu 25,and the overall performance under 50%organic fertilizer+50%chemical fertilizer treatment(T4 treatment)was the best under the conditions of this experiment. The results of this study could provide a theoretical basis for rational fertilization of fresh-eating sweet potato and cultivation and management of yield and quality improvement.
