Abstract:The field experiment was conducted to study the effects of different forms of nitrogen(nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and amide nitrogen)on the yield and quality of carrot. The research showed that different nitrogen forms had significant effects on the yield and quality of carrot. The quality of carrot that re-spectively topdressing nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and amide nitrogen compound fertilizers on the ba-sis of applying organic fertilizer all decreased compared with the control, among which, the total sugar content decreased by 2.9%,7.8%,0.9%;the carotene content decreased by 4.6%,8.5%,1.6%;the content of VC decreased by 3.2%,6.4%,-0.7%.The carrot yield which respectively topdressing nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and amide nitrogen compound fertilizers increased compared with the control. It had the highest yield(3 919.7 kg per 666.7m2)when using amide nitrogen compound fertilizer, the output increased by 36.79%and the economic benefit increased by 843.28 yuan per 666.7m2.Under the conditions of this study, the higher yield and better quality of carrot could be obtained by topdressing amide nitrogen compound fertilizer on the basis of applying organic fertilizer.
