Abstract:The effects of soil moisture content, buried depth and height of pot seedlings on survival rate and growth of dry-planted rice seedlings were researched by field experiment. The results showed that the seedling survival rate and growth were enhanced with the increase of soil moisture content at transplanting time, but they were not significantly different between 85% and 100% of soil moisture contents. When the pot seedlings were buried at the depth of 2 cm,the survival rate was higher. When the pot seedlings were 15 cm of height, their survival rate and growing were the best under the same soil moisture content and buried depth. In conclusion, the optimal conditions for transplanting rice seedlings for dry cultivation were 85 % of soil moisture content,2 cm of pot seedling buried depth and 15 cm of pot seedling height.
