Effects of Temperature and Light on Growth of Leaves and Fruits of Cucumber in Greenhouse

Abstract：With the cucumber cultivar Jinqiang 210 as test material,the effects of temperature and light changes on growth of leaves and fruits at the early fruiting stage were studied under the spring thermo-photoperiod condition in sunken solar greenhouse using the thermo-photoperiod environment monitor devices.The results showed that the daily average growth of leaf area was very significantly positively correlated with daily average temperature and light radiation,and the daily average growth of fruit length also showed highly significantly positive correlation with the accumulative temperature in lighting time calculated by hour.The average temperature in daytime,daily average temperature and daily average light intensity also significantly affected the daily average growth of leaf area and fruit length,but there was no significant correlation between the daily average growth of fruit length and the average temperature in night.
