Key Techniques for Cultivation of Volvariella volvacea Using Improved Pig Manure Residues

Abstract：Using improved pig manure residues as the main raw material, the cultivation test of Volvariella volvacea was conducted by designing different substrate formulas, fermentation modes, casing materials and cultivation modes.The experimental results showed that the cultivation of Volvariella volvacea was feasible using solid-liquid separation material from pig manure as the novel raw material and supplemented by key techniques such as simplified fermentation mode, casing soil and cultivation mode.It not only recycled the piggery wastes, reduced the risk of non-point source pollution and production cost, but also improved the growth rate and quality of mycelium, shortened the cultivation period and improved the economic performance.
