Abstract:Ten cotton varieties (lines) were planted in coastal lands with different saline degrees to select the wide adaptable cotton variety, and its yield and plant traits were studied. The results showed that the wide adaptable cotton variety was Ji3816, and its plant height was between 56.4 cm and 60.2 cm, the number of fruit branches per plant was between 7.3 and 7.8,the boll number was between 1.1 and 1.6, the number of flowers and buds was between 10.3 and 14.1, and the chlorophyll SPAD value was between 40.6 and 44.3 during the early growth stage.During the critical stage of yield forming, the plant height of Ji3816 was between 69.7 cm and 80.1 cm, the number of fruit branches was between 7.7 and 9.9,the boll number was between 11.5 and 14.6, and the chlorophyll SPAD value was between 45.4 and 50.5.The number of harvest plants of Ji3816 per hectare was between 42 500 and 52 000, the boll number per plant was between 10.78 and 12.70, the single boll weight was between 4.96 g and 5.53 g, the lint percent was between 37.4% and 38.2%, and the lint yield was more than 1 000 kg/hm2.
