Abstract:Six major wheat cultivars in Shandong Province were chosen to investigate their drought resistance and recovery ability through grey relational degree analysis. The results showed that after 9 days of drought stress, the root dry weight and length of Luyuan 502, Jimai 22, Yannong 19 and Shannong 20 increased, while that of Wennong 14 and Tainong 18 reduced;the dry weight of shoot and leaves, total biomass, leaf area and SPAD value decreased, and the ratio of root to shoot increased in all the six varieties. After 18 days of recovery, the characters of six varieties showed similar trends with those after 9-day drought stress. The 7 characters of the 6 varieties were described and quantified using grey relational degree analysis. The results showed that after 9-day drought stress, Jimai 22, Yannong 19 and Luyuan 502 had better comprehensive resistance, and Wennong 14 showed worst resistance;after recovery for 18 days, the order of Luyuan 502 and Yannong 19 exchanged, which meant Luyuan 502 had higher recovery ability after drought stress than Yannong 19.
