Abstract:The diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella (L.), is one of the important agricultural pests firstly producing resistances to Bt toxin. The membrane bound alkaline phosphatase is a potential direct receptor of Bt toxin in diamondback moth.We had cloned the coding ORF of Plutella xylostella alkaline phosphatase gene PxALP1 in previous works, so we analyzed the expression patterns of this gene at different time and space in this paper.Through the whole life span of Plutella xylostella, PxALP1 gene had the highest expression level in the 3rd instar larvae;and among all the tissues and organs of the 3rd instar larvae, PxALP1 gene had the highest expression level in the midgut. The expression patterns of PxALP1 gene might be closely related to the resistant function of Bt toxin.
