Phenotypic Expression and Ploidy Study of Lagerstroemia indica F1 Hybrid

Abstract：In order to breed a new triploid variety of Lagerstroemia indica L.with beautiful flowers,the diploid (Liuyuefeixue,Panhe 2,Zikang 1 and Zikang 2) and tetraploid (Sihaishengping) varieties were conducted a deal of cross combinations.The genetic analyses on flower characters,leaf characters,plant height and ground diameter of F1 generation and the ploidy detection were carried out.The results showed that there was triploid Lagerstroemia indica L.founded in each F1 generation.
