Comparative Study of Total RNA Extraction Methods from Individual Frankliniella occidentalis
Abstract：TriPure method and RNA extraction kits are the widely used methods for rapid extraction of high quality RNA from plants and animals in labs.In this study,two kinds of RNA extraction kits were compared with the TriPure method.The results showed that the TransZol Up Plus RNA Kit,developed by the Trans Company,was better for extraction of total RNA from individual Frankliniella occidentalis,and the purity and concentration of extracted RNA were both higher.This results would provide theory bases for studying small insects such as Frankliniella occidentalis by molecular technique.
