Comparison of Effects of Seawater and NaCl Stress on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Rice

Abstract：Xudao 6 was used to study the effects of 2 kinds of salt stress,NaCl and seawater,on the seed germination (germination potential and germination rate)and seedling growth (root number,seedling height,root length,seedling weight,root weight).The results showed that under the 2 kinds of salt stress, the germination potential,germination rate,root number,seedling height,root length,seedling weight and root weight decreased with the increase of salt concentration,except the root length promoted by the stress with low concentration of NaCl.The seed germination rates of Xudao 6 had no obvious difference between the treat-ments with different concentrations of seawater.
