Abstract:Dust stress is one of the main factors influencing the crop yields in Southern Xinjiang. The contents of chlorophyll and soluble protein were important indexes for crop yield estimation and agricultural condition monitoring. In order to explore the changing mechanism of soluble protein and chlorophyll contents in the Korla fragrant pear leaves under long -term dust stress, the leaves of 4 -year -old Korla fragrant pear were selected and covered with 2 mg/cm2 (mild)and 9 mg/cm2 (severe)dust for 7,14,28 and 42 days re-spectively with no dust cover as contrast. The soluble protein and chlorophyll contents in the leaves were deter-mined.The results showed that under the treatments of mild and severe dust coverage, the soluble protein and chlorophyll contents were on the rise with the extension of treating days.As the processed time was same, the soluble protein and chlorophyll contents under severe dust coverage rose faster than those under the mild dust coverage;the Chla /Chlb value decreased, and it decreased faster under the severe dust coverage. It was showed that the severe the dust coverage was,the larger the soluble protein and chlorophyll contents and Chla /Chlb value were affected. The Korla fragrant pear could adapt to the sand and dust environment through in-creasing its resistance to dust after sufferring dust stress for a long time.
