Cluster and Yield Analysis of Hebei Registered Wheat Varieties during 2009 -2015

Abstract：In order to understand the current situation of wheat breeding in Hebei Province,4 agronomic characters (plant height,kernels per spike,1 000 -grain weight,bulk density)and 5 quality indexes (crude protein content,wet gluten content,sedimentation value,water absorption and dough stability time)of 52 wheat varieties which passed provincial certification during 2009 -2015 in Hebei Province were detected. Clustering analysis was also conducted.The results indicated that 52 wheat varieties were clustered into 4 groups.The group Ⅰ included 17 wheat varieties with the lowest bulk density,crude protein content,wet glu-ten content,sedimentation value,water absorption and dough stability time.The group Ⅱ contained 7 high quality and strong gluten wheat varieties with the longest dough stability time and the highest sedimentation value,crude protein and wet gluten content.The group Ⅲ included 16 wheat varieties with the highest bulk density and 1 000 -grain weight,the lowest plant height and other indexes in the medium level.The groupⅣ contained 12 wheat varieties with all indexes in the medium level.The clustering results were basically con-sistent with the pedigree.The average yield of wheat varieties authorized in Hebei Province showed an increas-ing trend in recent years.
