Responses of Tomato Varieties to NaCl Stress under Hydroponic Condition

Abstract：Using 4 tomato varieties of L -402,Shanghai 908,Shanghai 903 and Baiguoqiangfeng as ma-terials,the effects of different concentrations of NaCl stress on seed germination and seedling growth were ana-lyzed under hydroponic condition.The results showed that different NaCl tolerances were observed among dif-ferent tomato varieties.The seed germination of the 4 varieties were completely inhibited by NaCl at the con-centrations of 100 ~175 mmol /L.The bud length,root length,shoot weight and root weight of the 4 varieties all declined with the increase of NaCl concentration.Among them,the tolerance of Shanghai 908 to NaCl stress was demonstrated to be the best in the 4 varieties.
