Density Test of New Cotton Variety Ji 5104 under Garlic -Cotton Intercropping with Simplified Seedling Raising and Transplanting Technology

Abstract：The best planting density of new cotton variety Ji 5104 under the intercropping of garlic -cot-ton was tested with the simplified seedling raising and transplanting technology.It was expected to fully realize the high -yielding potential and achieve good quality,high yield and efficiency.The results showed that the growth period of Ji 5104 was about 127 days in the range of 27 000 ~45 000 plants per hectare.The density of 33 000 plants per hectare was the best one with the boll rot rate lower than that of 27 000 plants per hectare and the highest lint cotton yield as 1 978 kg·hm -2 ,which increased by 17.0% compared to that of 45 000 plants per hectare.
