Abstract：The effects of different fertilization treatments on growth characteristics and yield of alfalfa (Medicago sativa)in saline -alkali soil were explored using field plot test.The results showed that fertiliza-tion could promote the increase of plant height,and the increase of the first and second cutting was larger than that of the third cutting.During the past two years,the total dry matter yield of alfalfa was the highest of 2 610 g/m2 under basal applying humic acid of 2 250 kg/hm2 and DAP of 225 kg/hm2 ,and topdressing urea of 90 kg/hm2 at regreening stage,which increased by 37.3 % compared with that of control.
