Abstract:To find out the best subsurface drainage layout scheme in greenhouse saline soil in South Chi-na,different layout schemes with various pipe depth (0.6 m and 0.8 m)and space (6,8 m and 1 0 m)were designed. The electrical conductivity (EC)in different soil layers, tomato yield, main quality indexes (solu-ble solids, total acid, vitamin C,sugar/acid ratio)and the irrigation water use efficiency were observed. The principal component analysis and projection pursuit model were introduced to select and evaluate different schemes. The results showed that closer and shallower layout of drainage pipe was beneficial for improving the overall quality of tomato, and the overall quality of D1 S1 treatment was the optimal. The calculation results of projection pursuit showed that D2S2 treatment (pipe depth of 0.8 m and space of 8 m)was the best treatment with the maximum projection value of 1 .41 38 and the optimal comprehensive benefit.
