Abstract:To clarify the mechanism of biological soil amendment (BSA)to promote seedling growth of continuous cropping cucumber and reduce soil -borne disease incidence, the effects of BSA on the activities of pathogenesis -related proteins and contents of main disease -resistant substances in cucumber roots were ex-amined by pot test. The results showed that BSA could obviously induce the activities of chitinase and β-1 , 3 -glucanase,improve the contents of lignin and phenolic in roots and increase the lignified degree and solu-ble protein content in cucumber leaves after innoculated Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cucumerinum.
