Abstract:In order to study the biodegradation of glyphosate by Bacillus subtilis Bs -15,the capacity of Bs -15 to degrade glyphosate isopropylamine was acclimated, the culture conditions were optimized, and the degradation rate of Bs -15 to glyphosate isopropylamine was determined in this paper. The results showed that the maximum concentration that Bs -15 could tolerate was up to 40 000 mg/L.Under the conditions of no more than 10 000 mg/L of glyphosate isopropylamine,8.0 of pH value,4% of inoculation proportion, the op-timal degradation occurred when cultured at 35°C and 180 r/min for 60 hours. The culture temperature was adjusted to 30°C to be more feasible in productivity.Under the above optimum conditions, the degradation rate of Bs -15 to glyphosate isopropylamine could reach about 70%.
