Abstract:The experiment was conducted indoors by simulating the salt stress conditions artificially. The seeds of 14 mung bean cultivars were germinated under 6 different concentrations of NaCl solutions (0, 0.6%,0.8%,1.0%,1.2%,1.4%).The relative germination rate, relative germination index, mass in-dex,relative vitality index, appropriate salt concentration, median lethal concentration and lethal concentra-tion were measured to evaluate the salt tolerance of different cultivars. The results showed that significant differences existed in different cultivars, and the suitable concentration of NaCl solution to reflect the salt re-sistance of mung bean at germination stage was 1.2%.The 14 mung bean cultivars could be classified into 5 types based on the cluster analysis.Zhonglv6,Zhonglv9 and Zhonglv10 had the highest salt tolerance;Jilv9, Zhonglv11 and Zhonglv14 had higher salt tolerance;Zhonglv5,Zhonglv8 and Zhonglv13 had moderate salt tol-erance;Zhonglv2 and Zhonglv12 were sensitive varieties to salt, and Zhonglv1,Zhonglv3 and Zhonglv4 were high sensitive varieties.
