Effects of Different Planting Densities on Ear Characters and Yield of Qiaoyu 8 Corn

Abstract：The effects of planting density on the yield and its components of Qiaoyu 8 corn were studied.The results showed that the grains per row and the 1 000 -gain weight of Qiaoyu 8 were more greatly influenced by planting density,both of which significantly decreased particularly when the planting density was more than 90 000 plants per hectare.The ear diameter and rows per ear were less influenced by planting density.The planting densi-ties of 82 500 ~90 000 plants per hectare were more suitable for Qiaoyu 8 in eastern Henan Province.
