Discussion on Strategies for Wheat Cross Combination and Assortative Mating

Abstract：The strategies of wheat cross combination and assortative mating were discussed in this paper. The points were that the parents of wheat cross combination should both have higher yield and better adaptabil-ity,and the major advantages should be more and complementary;the parents should have character differ-ences in some degree and medium sized genetic distance;specific combining ability should be big on the basis of higher general combining ability;more attention should be paid to the utilization of parents with genetic re-lationship or geographical relationship.
