Abstract:In order to investigate the response mechanism of Malus sieversii (Lebed.)Roem.to the change of soil relative water content, the pot test was carried out through controlling water amount to simulate the water stress. The content of soluble protein and MDA and the activity of SOD,POD,CAT and APX in Malus sieversii leaves were measured. The results showed that with the decrease of soil moisture content, the membrane lipid peroxidation occurred and the MDA content increased. The membrane lipid peroxidation caused by water stress was resisted by increasing the soluble protein content and the activity of SOD,POD, CAT and APX to clear the reactive oxygen species. However, under the different moisture conditions, the mainly response enzymes were different. In addition, there was a good adaptability of Malus sieversii to higher relative soil water content.
